RedAlert Station Board
Your station TV, doing something useful all day
When a call drops, the RedAlert Station Board flips to command mode: the incident, the map, apparatus status, and who's responding, updating live. The rest of the time it shows what your department actually needs to see. Who's on duty, which rigs are out of service, what's due today, upcoming drills, top responders this year, and station news. Because the Station Board reads directly from RedAlert, it can display anything in your records system without an integration.
Most station displays are call boards. Dispatch drops a run, the screen shows the address and who's responding, and when the call clears the screen goes back to a logo or a clock. That's the state it sits in almost all day.
The RedAlert Station Board runs in two modes. During a call, every screen in the station updates at the same moment with the incident address, call type, occupant, hazards, hydrants, dispatcher comments, apparatus status, and responding personnel, with the location on a live map. Multiple calls going at once? The display cycles through all of them. No shouting across the bay, no relaying details over the radio, and nobody walking past the board wondering what's going on.
Between calls is where the Station Board does what other station displays can't. It reads directly from your RedAlert database, so anything in your records can go on the wall. Top ten responders year to date. Apparatus out of service. Truck checks and tasks due today. Duty crew with assigned units and riding positions. Upcoming drills and meetings from the department calendar. Call volume stats. Photos from the last banquet or the last working fire. Weather radar and forecast. And a station message that's different on each board, so what's in the bunk room isn't what's in the bay.
Other station displays need an integration to your records system to show any of that, and most of them just don't. The Station Board doesn't need one, because it's part of the records system.
Put the leaderboard on the wall
Departments running the Station Board alongside the RedAlert Kiosk often display top responders year to date. Call counts, hours, drill attendance, whatever the department wants to recognize.
Chiefs tell us it works. Members see where they stand relative to everyone else every time they walk through the bay, and participation goes up without anyone giving a speech about it. If your department runs a LOSAP, pay-per-call, stipend, or points program, the board becomes a running scoreboard for it.

Common questions
What is the RedAlert Station Board?
The RedAlert Station Board is fire station display software that turns any monitor or TV into a live department dashboard. During a call it shows the incident, mapping, apparatus status, and responding personnel. Between calls it displays information from your RedAlert records system: duty crew, out-of-service apparatus, tasks due, top responders, upcoming events, call statistics, weather, and station messages.
What shows on the screen between calls?
Anything in your RedAlert records. Top responders year to date, apparatus out of service, truck checks and tasks due today, duty crew with riding assignments, upcoming drills and meetings, call volume statistics, department photos, weather radar, and messages from the chief. The board cycles through until the next call takes over the screen.
What hardware does the Station Board need?
A basic networked PC and a monitor or TV. Standard computer monitors work, and so do large-screen televisions, and the layout scales to the screen you're using. There's no proprietary display hardware to buy.
Can we run more than one station board?
Yes, and most departments do. Each board can display different information and carry its own station message, so the screen in the bay can show something different from the one in the bunk room or the officers' room. Departments with multiple stations typically run at least one at each.
How is this different from the station display in our alerting app?
Alerting app displays show the active call and who's responding, which the Station Board does too. The difference is the other twenty-three hours. The Station Board reads directly from your RedAlert database, so it can show duty crew, apparatus out of service, tasks due, top responders, call volume, and department events when there's no call running. An alerting app has no records system to read from.
How is this different from a dashboard platform like First Arriving?
Dashboard platforms are integration hubs. They connect to your CAD, your RMS, your scheduling system, and others, and combine the feeds onto one screen. That's genuinely useful for departments running many separate systems from different vendors. The Station Board takes the other approach: your records already live in RedAlert, so there's nothing to integrate, no second vendor, and no dependency on an integration staying current when one of your systems updates. If your department runs on RedAlert, the Station Board is the simpler path to the same wall.
Does the Station Board need a CAD interface?
The active call display is driven by your CAD feed, so yes for the incident side. Everything the Station Board shows between calls comes from your RedAlert records and works regardless.
Can we customize what's on the screen?
Yes. Layouts are configured to your department, and the panels are selected from whatever RedAlert holds. Departments have added burn permit status, inventory levels, Kiosk status, hospital status, and tidal charts alongside the standard panels.
Works with the rest of the RedAlert family
Every product syncs into the same database. That's what all-in-one means.
