What this policy covers, and what it does not
This policy covers this website (alpinesoftware.com) and the information we collect when you visit it, fill out a form, or contact us.
This policy does not cover the data your department stores in RedAlert. Incident reports, personnel records, patient and citizen information, and everything else your department enters into the software remain your department's data. Our handling of that data is governed by the software license and services agreement your department signed with us, not by this policy. If you are a current customer with questions about how we handle data inside the system, contact us and we will point you to the applicable terms.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit a form on this site (a demo request, a contact message, a referral, or a request for a webinar or white paper) we collect the information you enter. Depending on the form, that may include your name, job title or role, department or organization name, email address, phone number, state, the software you currently use, and whatever you write in a message field.
If you email or call us, we keep a record of that correspondence so we can respond and follow up.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site records technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you view, the site or search that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. This comes from our hosting provider's server logs and from the analytics and cookies described below.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies for analytics, advertising measurement, and to make our forms work. Details of which cookies and why are in our Cookie Policy.
How we use information
- To respond to you. Answering questions, scheduling and preparing demos, following up on referrals, and providing support.
- To send you marketing email about RedAlert, the fire service, and Alpine Software, if you asked for it or requested information from us. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect for all marketing email.
- To deliver gated content such as webinars and white papers you request.
- To understand and improve the site: which pages are useful, where visitors come from, and how our advertising performs.
- To protect the site and investigate abuse, fraud, or security issues.
- To meet legal obligations when we are required to.
We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We are not in the business of monetizing visitor data. We sell software to fire departments.
Who we share information with
We share information with service providers who help us run this website and our business. They may only use it to provide services to us. These include:
- HubSpot: customer relationship management, forms, and marketing email
- Netlify, website hosting
- Google: website analytics, advertising measurement, fonts, and video hosting (YouTube)
- Zendesk, the customer support help portal
- ConnectWise ScreenConnect, remote support sessions, when you start one
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to (in response to a subpoena, court order, or other lawful request) or to protect our rights, safety, or property. If Alpine Software is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
How long we keep it
We keep the information you give us for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected: including maintaining our business relationship with your department, meeting legal and accounting obligations, and keeping a record of our correspondence. You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.
How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold, and we work with established service providers who do the same. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
