Agreement to these terms

This website is operated by Alpine Software Corporation ("Alpine Software," "we," "us"), 295 Woodcliff Drive, Suite 301, Fairport, NY 14450. By accessing or using alpinesoftware.com (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These terms do not replace your software agreement

If your department is an Alpine Software customer, your use of RedAlert (including licensing, fees, service levels, support, data handling, and warranties) is governed by the written license and services agreement between your organization and Alpine Software. That agreement controls. In any conflict between these Site terms and that agreement, your signed agreement governs with respect to the software and services it covers.

Nothing on this Site constitutes an offer, a contract, or an amendment to any existing agreement. Product descriptions, feature lists, and comparisons on this Site are provided for general information and may change as the product develops.

Using this Site

You may view, browse, and print pages of this Site for your own informational and internal business use, including sharing them with colleagues in your department. You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of these terms
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected system
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site, including by introducing malware or launching automated attacks
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content or contact information from the Site for commercial purposes without our written permission
• Reproduce, republish, or redistribute substantial portions of the Site's content as your own, or remove any proprietary notices
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when submitting information through the Site

This Site includes guides and articles on subjects such as NERIS and NFIRS reporting, ISO Public Protection Classification ratings, community risk reduction, FEMA grant programs, LOSAP, fire codes, and authority having jurisdiction requirements. This material is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not legal, financial, insurance, compliance, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for the applicable statutes, codes, standards, grant rules, or the guidance of your own advisors and authorities having jurisdiction.

Standards, code editions, federal reporting requirements, and grant programs change, and they are applied differently by different jurisdictions. Submissions

If you send us feedback, questions, or suggestions through this Site, you grant us permission to use that input to improve our products and services without obligation or compensation to you. Do not send us confidential information, protected health information, or sensitive incident data through this Site's forms. The forms here are for general inquiries. Current customers should use the help portal for anything involving department data.

Third-party links and services

This Site links to third-party websites and embeds third-party services, including our help portal, remote support tool, video hosting, and forms. We do not control those sites and services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Links to fire department, government, and standards-organization websites are provided for reference and do not imply endorsement of, or by, those organizations.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content will be current or complete. This disclaimer applies to the Site only and does not limit any warranty in your signed software agreement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alpine Software Corporation and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, this Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to this Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). This limitation applies to the Site only and does not modify the liability provisions of your signed software agreement.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability or exclusions of warranty, so parts of the two sections above may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alpine Software Corporation from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of this Site or your violation of these terms.

Privacy

Our handling of information collected through this Site is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Site or these terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Monroe County, New York, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page and revising the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
