RedAlert Platform
One connection to dispatch. Two jobs done.
RedAlert's CAD interface pulls the call from your dispatch center the moment it goes out. Times, units, address, call type, and dispatcher comments fill in the incident report before anyone sits down, and that same data lands on the apps your crews are already looking at. One interface, both jobs.
The report writes most of itself
Everything dispatch already knows should never be typed twice. RedAlert captures the unit timestamps, the dispatcher comments, the call type, the address, and everything in between, and drops it into the incident record. The officer adds the narrative and the details CAD couldn't know. That's the difference between a report that takes four minutes and one that takes forty, and it's a large part of why RedAlert submissions come back clean.
The same data goes to the people responding
Here's where most CAD integrations stop and RedAlert keeps going. The call doesn't just land in the records system. It goes to the RedAlert Responder app on every member's phone, to RedAlert MDT on the apparatus tablet, and to the RedAlert Station Board on the firehouse wall. Same call, same information, everywhere at once, so nobody is working from a version of the truth that's ten minutes behind.
Departments running a standalone alerting app need one interface for that app and a separate arrangement for their records system. Two connections, two vendors, two things that can break. With RedAlert, dispatch connects once and everything downstream of it works.
Any dispatch center, any CAD vendor
Our thousand-plus departments are dispatched by every kind of center there is: county-wide communications centers, regional dispatch, local police departments, and everything in between, running every CAD product on the market. We can connect to all of them.
How we connect depends on what your dispatch center can provide and what their CAD vendor is able to export, and we offer several kinds of interface to cover the range. That part is our job, not yours. We've been building these connections for thirty years and we walk every department through it as part of the evaluation. If you have a specific concern about your dispatch center or your CAD vendor, ask us directly and we'll tell you exactly what's possible.

Common questions
Does RedAlert work with our CAD system?
Yes. Our thousand-plus departments are dispatched by county communications centers, regional dispatch, and local police departments running every CAD product on the market, and we can connect to all of them. What differs is the type of interface, which depends on what your dispatch center can access and what their vendor is able to export. Talk to one of our product experts about your specific dispatch center and we'll tell you what's possible.
What data comes over from dispatch?
Unit timestamps, dispatcher comments, call type, address, and the rest of what dispatch captures, all of it filling in the incident report automatically. The same information goes to the Responder app, the MDT in the rig, and the Station Board in the firehouse.
Is this different from what an alerting app does with CAD?
Yes, and it's the main reason departments consolidate. A standalone alerting app takes the CAD feed and pushes a notification. That's where it ends. RedAlert takes the same feed and does both jobs: it alerts your people and builds your incident record. One interface instead of two, and nothing to reconcile afterward.
Do we need the CAD interface to use RedAlert?
No. Incident reporting, personnel, training, scheduling, prevention, and attendance all work without it. The interface is what pre-fills the dispatch side of the report and drives live data to the MDT, the Responder app, and the Station Board, so departments running those want it in place.
Who talks to our dispatch center?
We do, with you. Coordinating with a dispatch center is the part departments need our help, and it's the part we've done a thousand times. We handle the technical conversation and keep you in the loop rather than handing you a specification and wishing you luck.
What if our dispatch center changes CAD vendors?
We rebuild the interface. It's happened to plenty of our departments over thirty years, and it's a normal part of what our support team handles rather than a reason to start over.
